We study (in)equality.

Our lab starts from a deep interest in pinpointing the psychological and material factors that drive disparities in everything from students’ achievement and well-being to employees’ lifetime earnings. We then apply these insights to develop tailored programs for schools, workplaces, parents, and other influential forces to facilitate people’s equitable access to opportunity.

In doing so, our work both translates psychological science into real-world impact and sharpens understandings of core topics within the field, including identity and person-context interactions.
